JamBooth Photos: Creating lifelong memories

Way Beyond the Point

JamBooth owners Brandon and Jen Jesse strike a pose. Pictured are some of the many ways JamBooth helps capture the memories at your event.

Brandon and Jen Jesse enjoy helping people create memories. That is why they started JamBooth Photos, to capture the special moments in people’s lives. Originally, both coming from the entertainment and music industry, the couple started a business, allowing them to work together and have fun. JamBooth is now celebrating five years in business.

JamBooth specializes in different interactive photo booths, giving guests the opportunity to experience photography in a whole new way. The Mirror Me booth is very popular, offering a full-length mirror that users can stand in front of to have their picture taken. It is an open-air photo booth with a touchscreen interface to allow fun and exciting photos. The Roaming Photo booth is a mobile booth, allowing the couple to bring the party to their guests if they are unable to come in person. This booth specializes in creating photos that show up on social media platforms. The 360 JamCam booth, another popular option, is a 360-degree video booth that creates a slow-motion video and returns it to guests. It also has the capacity to include an audio clip. The virtual booth allows guests to snap a photo with their cell phone and have the pictures sent to them in real time.

Recently, the Jesses began offering the closed photo booth which gives users an old-school photo booth experience. Guests can sit down with their friends and take photos in the booth, getting a strip of photos once the pictures are processed. One of the couples’ favorite booths is the 360 booth because it is so much fun. “It creates a very nostalgic feeling when people receive a printed photo they can take to place on their refrigerator or in a photo album,” Brandon says.

The couple covers many different types of events, including weddings, birthdays, retirement parties and “Sweet 16” parties. They also do corporate events and holiday parties. Additionally, they offer corporate activations where they team up with a corporate marketing department and work to enhance the brand with photo activations.

Almost all the photos offered are instantly processed, allowing them to be shared digitally or printed for guests. Various personalizations are available that guests can add to their photos that include backdrops, animations and photo overlays. At wedding events, photo guest books, also known as memory books, are in demand. These books consist of printed photos taken on-site and added to a photo album. Guests can sign the keepsake to capture personal messages of a special day.

Brandon and Jen market their business on social media along with Google. The couple services all of Hampton Roads and beyond. They usually work within a 60-mile radius, but they will also cover Washington, D.C., the Outer Banks and Richmond as many of their booths are transportable.

The couple takes pride in their attention to detail. They enjoy taking customized photos and catering to their guests’ needs. Brandon says “The work we do is rewarding; we are helping people to create lifelong memories. We are a part of people’s big moments, and that is an honor.”
