Ever had a craving for lobster but don’t have the time and means to get to New England? Enter Lobstah King’s, a family-owned New England-infused food truck. Originally opened as a hot dog cart in August 2024, the business has grown into a food trailer.

“Lobstah King’s offers a barrage of services, including catering and special events. In addition, we provide nationwide shipping on our lobster and shrimp products,” says Avery “Avrex” Belton, owner and lead chef. “Originally, I’m from Massachusetts, but I’ve now been living in Hampton Roads for more than 20 years, and I thought it was time to bring a taste of home to my second home.”
The Lobstah King’s menu evolves throughout the seasons to keep foods fresh, as well. “Lobstah King’s offers a fusion between Massachusetts and Virginia. We only offer the best fresh seafood and use local products from Massachusetts and Virginia,” the chef says.
One of the most popular items on the menu at Lobstah King’s menu is the Connecticut lobster roll, which features fresh Maine lobster served warm with butter and Old Bay seasoning, served on a brioche roll topped with parsley. Belton’s personal favorite menu item? The Maine lobster roll, served with fresh Maine lobster, mayo, lemon, Old Bay seasoning and parsley, also served on a brioche roll.

When it comes to Belton’s favorite part about his job, he thrives on the community he serves. “I truly love to meet new people in our community. I have acquired so many new family members since we’ve started and the family continues to grow,” the chef says. “Looking to the future, Lobstah King’s will continue to offer the community quality food, while also seeking to expand into other areas.”
When Belton isn’t serving his seafood fare, he spends time as a deacon at Virginia Beach Theological Seminary and offers biblical counseling. Lobstah King’s also supports Livingstones Fellowship, a nonprofit organization established by Pastor Floyd Foster.
