Arlene Tannenbaum

Meet our Paper Girl

Arlene has admired the world of sewing, quilting and needlepoint most of her life. After owning and operating a business with her husband John (of blessed memory) for more than 40 years, her retirement years have given her more time for quilting. She enjoys traveling, especially to quilt shows. Delivering Oyster Pointer for more than 15 years has given her great pleasure and pride, and at 81 years old, she continues to enjoy the opportunity to see and greet local business owners on her route, many of whom she now calls friends.

In my real life, this is what I do: I love to quilt, to travel and to spend time with family.

And this is what I do for fun: I enjoy delivering Oyster Pointer and meeting old and new friends along my route.

My favorite writer is: Debbie Macomber.

My favorite book is: To Kill a Mockingbird.

When I have time for myself, I like to do some of the crafting I do not always have time for! I especially enjoy learning different quilting patterns and look forward to classes and fabric shows.

My favorite place I’ve traveled is New York since I was born there. I loved my most recent trip…to Australia!

I would like to travel down the Mississippi River or to take a cruise.

The person I most admired was my husband John who passed away 13 years ago.

On my bucket list, I would like to visit

  1. San Francisco
  2. Las Vegas
  3. Mount Rushmore
