“Inspired and Innovative Wellness Solutions (2iWellness, as we’re commonly known) is a wellness education and speaking company focused on helping women and organizations understand and address the real roots of stress, burnout and chronic depletion,” says Dr. Lynise Green, founder and CEO (“Chief Everything Officer”).
2iWellness offers a range of services centered around speaking, training and wellness education. Green speaks at conferences, corporate events, associations and community organizations on topics such as personal energy management, stress and identity-based behavior patterns. She also delivers workshops with corporations, nonprofits, colleges and associations wanting to support the wellbeing of their people.
For individuals, she offers online courses, guided journals and coaching built around her signature framework, The Four Wells, which address the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual dimensions of personal energy. While her primary audience is women, Green emphasizes that stress doesn’t discriminate.
2iWellness started in 2015 as an employee wellness company offering corporate wellness programming and a learning management system. “Over the years, both the company and I have evolved significantly. Today, 2iWellness is built around speaking, training and education, helping people not just manage stress but truly understand what’s happening inside them and why. It’s less about surface level wellness tips and more about creating real, lasting shifts,” Green says. “The core mission has always stayed the same: helping people understand their wellbeing at a deeper level so they can actually do something meaningful about it.”
Green began her professional career as an engineer, where she experienced significant burnout, resulting in her taking three months away from work on short-term disability. “Understanding what was happening in my own body, through the lens of naturopathic medicine, was what saved me. And it redirected my entire life,” she says.
“Around the same time, my grandmother was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. I connected with a traditional naturopath who introduced me to the body’s remarkable capacity to heal itself. That experience opened a door I’ve never closed. I went on to earn my doctorate in naturopathy, advanced certifications in nutrition and herbalism and national certification as a Natural Health Professional. In 2017, I was named Top Wellness Professional in America by the Wellness Council of America, which remains one of my proudest professional moments,” Green says.
Green’s own journey inspires her to help others every day. “I know what it feels like to be running on empty and not understand why. I know what it feels like to be accomplished by every external measure and falling apart on the inside. And I know what it feels like when the light finally comes on, understanding replaces confusion and relief replaces exhaustion,” she says.
When asked what she wants people to know about 2iWellness, Green emphasizes her ability to provide assistance in understanding what stress really does to one’s body. “I want people to know that 2iWellness isn’t about bubble baths and breathing exercises, although there’s nothing wrong with either. It’s about going deeper,” she says. “Understanding the identity patterns that keep you stuck in survival mode even when you know better. Understanding that change is possible with the right framework and the right support.”
Green is planning to hire a team to join 2iWellness. Looking to the future, Green is actively building her speaking calendar and relaunching her book “Who? Me? Stressed?” (originally published in 2007 and now being re-released this fall with a fresh perspective.) She also has a second book in development called “Identity First.”
“If reading this interview makes someone pause and ask, ‘How am I really doing?’ then I’ve accomplished something meaningful. And if that someone realizes this doesn’t have to be done alone, even better. That’s the work I hope to continue doing here in Hampton Roads for many years to come,” Green says with a smile.
When she isn’t working, Green focuses on feeling present, relaxed and free. “I’m currently crocheting a blanket for my soon-to-arrive granddaughter. I teach chair yoga at a local senior center twice a week which feeds my soul in ways I can’t fully articulate. I love spending time with my family, good food, good conversation and quiet moments,” she says.
