Whether moderating a panel, serving as a keynote speaker or leading a ministry, Karen Eure Wilson is a storyteller who enjoys the art of communication through its various forms and techniques. She has been a Hampton Roads resident for more than 30 years and is a proud graduate of the Mass Media Department at Hampton Institute, now Hampton University. She is an award-winning communications professional, a Christian evangelist and an author. What keeps a smile on her face is her constant awareness of God’s grace and mercy.
Karen’s children inspire her and keep her happily busy. She’s a co-leader of Girl Scout Troop 1324 and a Guard Mom with the Grafton High School Clipper Band Color Guard. She’s quick to laugh and loves to sing. Her taste in music is varied and diverse. From Michael Franks to Chuck Mangione to Juanita Bynum to an array of Broadway tunes, her choice in music is an eclectic mix. For the past 12 years, she’s started each weekday morning with the Line of Judah intercessory prayer line. She enjoys fellowship with Bethel Temple in Hampton and Life House Newport News, www.theaterchurchnn.com. Her most treasured gift is Jesus Christ.
In my real life, this is what I do: I lead Eureka Communications, (www.eurekacomm.com), a strategic communication and public relations firm that I established to connect with people to encourage, equip and promote.
And this is what I do for fun: I love, love, love traveling with my family, taking pictures that capture the awesomeness of God’s creativity, camping and hiking with my Girl Scout Troop 1324, watching the Grafton High School Clipper Band perform and exploring diverse cuisines.
