Lori Marrow has worked in the banking and mortgage field since 1987. She got her start as a teller with Newport News Shipbuilding Employee’s Credit Union. Having spent many years working for various banks, credit unions, mortgage lenders and mortgage brokers, she decided to start her own business. M&M Mortgage Team was opened as an independent mortgage brokerage in December of 2019.

“We are a collection of passionate individuals wanting to find the best possible mortgage product with the best possible rate for every client. We are licensed in five states: Virginia, North Carolina, Florida, Texas and Michigan, with physical offices in three: Virginia, Florida and Texas,” says Marrow, owner of M&M Mortgage Team. “We offer VA, FHA, Conventional, USDA and Non-QM first mortgages for purchase, refinance, renovation and construction as well as second mortgages and home equity lines of credit. We are able to finance primary residences, second homes and investment properties.”

Marrow and her team are dedicated to helping clients get the best possible service and have based their business model around their clients. “I am always available. Our phones are monitored around the clock as well as our email. We strive to be available when we are needed. I check my email as soon as I get up and head into the office to ensure everything is running smoothly,” Marrow says. “My favorite part about my job is helping people. I always love seeing financial dreams realized.”

While Marrow is committed to helping clients achieve their dreams, she is also dedicated to her team and emphasizes the importance of teamwork. M&M prides itself on its ability to work together, communicate and come together to best support each other and its clients. The team at M&M loves what they do and are always ready to work together to provide the best service possible. “Being a team that communicates well with each other is really special,” Marrow says. “We are very team-oriented here.”

Despite having many locations, the corporate Newport News M&M location has special meaning to Marrow. She was born and raised in the Hampton Roads area and is proud to call it home. So Marrow and her team make an effort to give back to the community which they love. “Our staff is involved in Rotary, various community chamber entities and realtor associations. We also contribute to local museums and various area sporting venues as well as nonprofit sponsorship events,” Marrow says.

Looking to the future, Marrow wants M&M to keep things in the family. “My dream is to see my two children carry the torch of M&M into the future,” Marrow says. “After all, the ‘two’ in Two Marrows Investments, LLC is them, Tiffany and James, not my husband, Dave, and me. We want to see our children enjoy the joy of helping others tomorrow just like Dave and I are able to witness today.”

When Marrow isn’t busy with her team helping clients or working in the community, she enjoys traveling to Florida, North Carolina and Texas to promote their brand, visiting family, spending time with her grandchildren and time by the pool.

M&M Mortgage Team is always prepared to take on new clients and is dedicated to helping them get the best possible rate for their needs.
