The housing market today is filled with individuals who are holding on tightly to their beloved property, instead of packing up and moving out. Tommy Gallaway, owner of TG Services, recognizes that homeowners are interested in improving and modernizing the homes that have been filled with years of memories. Whether it is sprucing up a bathroom or adding an addition to your home, TG Services claims that there is no project too small or too large for their family-led crew to handle.

“I was born and raised here in Newport News,” Gallaway says “No matter where I go, this area is always what I call home.”

TG Services stays true to Gallaway’s personal Hampton Roads dedication and is located in the heart of the Oyster Point area. Immediately after its opening, in 2005, TG Services labeled itself as a family-owned and operated business.

The patriarch of the Gallaway family, Gallaway owns TG Services and his wife works behind the scenes doing the business’ bookkeeping. His sons participate in renovations. As a self-proclaimed “family man,” Gallaway enjoys spending time tucked back in the woods with his five grandkids, wife and children. Whether Gallaway is golfing, relaxing, shooting guns at the range or working on a remodeling job, family is at the heart of his life. Honesty and integrity are values the entire Gallaway clan pour into every project.

“No matter what project we are doing, we are going to do it right. Our Christian values lead us in life and in business,” Gallaway says.

TG Services is dedicated to making its clients feel comfortable and safe with not only the work being completed, but with the workers in the field accomplishing the remodeling as well. Gallaway recognizes that every construction company has its own niche and claims that the outstanding factor in TG Services is the satisfaction the company gets from the remodel.

“My favorite part of the job is when we tear out the old and replace it with new, modern, well crafted work,” Gallaway says.

TG Services specializes in room additions, decking and fencing, replacing doors and windows, remodeling kitchens and bathrooms, tile and laminate flooring and painting, among other projects.

Gallaway says, “We do everything. We won’t turn down any type of work.” This type of open-mindedness is allowing TG Services to become a residential and commercial building and remodeling company fit for the 21st century marketplace. Gallaway believes that the way to surge further into the modern age is to develop a showroom to display TG Services’ work.

With a showroom in the works for the upcoming year, Gallaway is excited to continue expanding TG Services’ impact within the Newport News area and beyond. TG Services is dedicated to allowing every client, in every location, the opportunity to receive quality work from the business.

Whether clients request a revamping of a worn-down kitchen or modernizing of an old home, TG Services is ready to help each and every individual preserve the memories of his or her cherished homes while providing modern craftsmanship with integrity.
