50 Floor is a direct-to-consumer, shop-at-home flooring company specializing in residential flooring solutions, including carpet, luxury vinyl, hardwood and laminate. The company currently has 19 locations, including one in Newport News, with plans to open more.
The team at 50 Floor brings samples directly to customers’ homes, allowing them to see flooring options in their own lighting and decor, with most installations completed within a few days. The Newport News 50 Floor team services include white glove installations for carpet, luxury vinyl, hardwood and laminate.
“Our name ‘50 Floor’ originates from the company’s founding vision in 2007 by Jerel Verner in Atlanta,” says Patrick Evans, general sales manager for Virginia. “Initially, our business aimed to offer a streamlined, customer-focused flooring service, emphasizing speed and efficiency. The name reflects the idea of covering ‘50 floors’ quickly, symbolizing our commitment to fast, high-quality installations across a wide range of homes.” Evans began his career in the industry more than 18 years ago.
The company operates in multiple markets across the Southeast, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest and Texas, serving more than 200,000 installations. Looking to the Newport News team, 50 Floor has an office staff of five, in addition to installation crews and a sales team.
