Cindy Brouillard – Director, Newport News Tourism

Point Blank

One thing I plan to do differently in 2019 is not worry so much.

Something I witnessed when I was younger that has impacted my life is the tragic and traumatic experience of watching my parents lose their son and how life can change in an instant, so you need to live it now and tell those you love what they mean to you every day.

When people think of me, I hope they are thinking, “She has a kind heart.”

I love my job because of the people I work with who are so talented, thoughtful, dedicated and creative.

Something I do that I am passionate about is taking a lot of pictures of my family, friends, pets and places I’ve been, so I can capture special moments and look back and be thankful I have lived an awesome life.

When I am not working, you can find me with my puppy, on a boat or
at the beach.

My hidden talent is interior decorating.

If I could have dinner with three famous people, they would be
Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Richard Gere — lol.

The smartest move I have ever made was quitting my job as hotel director of sales so I could spend more time with my two girls.

If I had a theme song that played WHEN I enter a room, it would be “Happy.”

My idea of a perfect day off begins with a cup of coffee, then a walk with my Springer Spaniel Cody.

My favorite aspect of working in Newport News is creatively marketing all the wonderful things there are to see and do in our beautiful city.

If I could teleport to anywhere in the world, right now, I would go to
any beach with my family and friends.

Three words that my friends and family would use to describe me are
fun-loving, truthful and passionate.
