When it comes to staying active, the most important thing to remember is  choose an activity you enjoy and you look forward to doing.

Something I do to stay active and healthy is  cycle, pilates and weight training.

My favorite programs hosted by Newport News Parks & Rec Active Lifestyles Program include   the annual golf tournament, pickleball and Women Who Hike.

A cause/charity I am in full support of is  SPCA and any other animal welfare organizations.

something I enjoy doing in Newport News is cruising up and down the James River around sunset and taking in the beauty of our city.

My favorite place to eat lunch in Newport News is  Gus’ Hot Dog King. Love the hot dogs!

My advice to someone seeking a more active lifestyle is  go at your own pace and choose activities you enjoy.

In my opinion, the most important part of life is  time spent with family.

to relax, I like to  sit on my front porch with a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening.

My favorite part of my routine is  taking our dog on early morning walks.

If I could go back 20 years and give my former self life advice, I would tell myself  it is never too late for a rewarding career change.

My favorite aspect of the fall in Virginia is  cool and crisp temperatures.

If I could teach a class on any topic, It would be  active aging.

If I could spend a work-free week anywhere in the world, I would spend it   in Italy, sipping wine and people-watching on a piazza.
